Advice to Health Seekers

Visa Requirements

Russian patients seeking Ayurvedic treatment at Vaidyaratnam Vrindavan Ayurveda Chikitsalayam (VVAC) will need a Medical Visa to enter India. Here’s an overview of the process:
Online Application (e-Visa)
  • Russians can apply for a medical visa online through the official Indian government website. The application should be submitted at least 4 days before the intended date of travel.
Validity
  • The medical Ayush visa is generally valid for 30 days, 1 year, or 5 years. The 30-day visa allows two entries, while the 1-year and 5-year visas allow multiple entries, with each stay not exceeding 90 days.
Documents Required
  • A scanned copy of the passport’s bio page (passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in India).
  • A recent passport-size photograph.
  • Proof of travel (flight tickets, itinerary).
  • For a 5-year visa, additional supporting documents may be required.
Biometric Data Collection
  • On arrival in India, travellers may be required to provide biometric data (fingerprints and photographs) at the immigration counter.
Entry Points
  • The medical visa is only valid at specific airports and seaports in India, so travellers must ensure they are entering through a designated point.
Proof of Sufficient Funds
  • It’s advisable for travellers to carry proof of your ayurvedic treatment and stay at VVAC, though it may not always be requested.
Travel Insurance
  • Although not mandatory, having travel insurance is highly recommended to cover any medical emergencies or unexpected incidents.
Consultation & Assistance
  • The VVAC team, along with Dr. Marina and language translator, helps ensure the smooth processing of the Medical Visa, providing guidance and any necessary documentation.
This process ensures patients can easily travel to India for their Ayurvedic treatments.

Diet Recommendations for Health Seekers at VVAC

Before getting any classical Panchakarma treatment done at Vrindavan Ayurveda Chikitsalayam, our team of physicians emphasise the health seekers to follow proper pre/during/post Ayurvedic diet. (During the treatment, we take care of every patient’s diet according to their health concern, which is prescribed by the doctors)

Ghee used in the preparation of the meals should be processed from white butter and home-made. Inclusion of rice in the diet could be from Shasti Shali, Navra Rice, Vari Tandul/Bhagar, Atta, Sanwa, or Sama Rice.

Prefer using rock or sea salt in the meals and use tulsi leaves, curry leaves, coriander, pudina leaves as garnish.

As a natural sweetener, use coconut or sugarcane (jaggery), as they not only sweeten the plate but also have more nutritional value than regular white sugar. Include Khichdi, which is considered one of the lightest as per Ayurveda. (Prepared using rice and yellow split moong dal and Tadka roasted in ghee, curry leaves, ginger, hing, mustard seeds, pepper powder, cumin/coriander, lemon juice, and more).

Food should be warm, freshly-cooked, never re-heated again & again or stored in the refrigerator.

Steamed/boiled vegetables must be included as salads with homemade healthy dressings like lemon juice, fresh raw honey, ginger, black pepper, roasted sesame seeds, coriander leaves, and more

(NOTE: These are some dietary tips that align with Ayurveda and help in preparing the body for Panchakarma treatment for effective results)
